Our client is a well-known investment management firm. The firm is in the process of implementing a new Client Reporting software system and they are seeking a Client Reporting Analyst to help lead the implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Liaise with Portfolio Managers and clients to write business specifications for reporting requirements
• Coordinate the development lifecycle from design to specifications to rollout, training and support of the Client Reporting system
• Act as a subject matter expert regarding client reporting for other departments within the firm
• Work with IT to design and develop flexible data architectures to create robust client reporting schedules
• Unpack data/process trails to core systems
• Develop test scripts, document test results and develop remediation plans with IT to address unmet business requirements
Background Requirements:
•5 – 8 years of related experience at an asset management company or financial services firm as an Analyst focused on developing and automating financial reporting schedules
• Proven ability to analyze issues quickly and take appropriate action under tight deadlines
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (Financial, Logical, Solver, Lookup and Reference Functions), Some Macro/VBA familiarity
• Knowledge of alternative assets (i.e., credit default swaps, etc.), bank debt, forwards, CDOs, and asset-backed securities
• Experience with development lifecycle: design and specification, working with IT, automate processes, QA and UAT, rollout, user training, and product support
• Prior experience working with Varden Client Reporting System, Advent Geneva Portfolio Accounting System, and/or Advent Partner Investor Accounting System preferred
• BA/BS required
• CFA or work towards CFA preferred
