What you will be doing
They have an opportunity for a Credit Derivatives Controller into the London Middle Office. The position is available on a rolling 1 year contract. The role is based on the trading floor and provides P&L and trade processing services to the Front Office, as well as acting as liaison to other support areas, particularly Risk and Finance. Reporting to the Head of London middle office, the role includes the following:
• Daily P&L production with P&L explanations
• Monthly reporting: P&L explain and Key Performance indicators
• Middle Office contact point for Risk Management re; control queries about the Credit Derivatives business line
• Overseeing two junior staff
You will need to have a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude, with a willingness to cover all areas of the Middle Office functions due to the small team environment
Who they are looking for
Suitable candidates must have the following skills and experience:
• Graduate Chartered Accountant
• 5 - 10 years investment banking product control experience, of which 5 years is in Credit Derivatives
• Knowledge of CDO structures
• Proven track record of understanding and enhancing the Control environment
• Good communication skills, requiring the ability to liaise with Front Office, Risk, Finance and Head office
• Flexibility
