They are a growing European private equity and V.C. firm, with £1bn invested across a variety of different funds. They have a number of European offices including there headquarters in London. They invest in a range of different sectors.
What you will be doing:
Managing and supervising a small team you will be joining a fast growing and developing private equity firm. The role is wide ranging. You will have financial control responsibilities, including the oversight of the preparation of management accounts on a monthly basis, cash flow statements and budget reports, supported by audit trails and other relevant documentation (bank reconciliations, payment authorisation file etc.). You will also prepare and submit statutory reports (IFRS) for consolidation purposes. You will control financial reporting and preparation of UK statutory reports and liaison with the Company’s auditors and financial advisors for all UK companies in the PE structure. You will provide oversight and review of the fund accounts for all funds managed. Your role will also oversee fund administration for all funds including management of corporate actions relating to all funds and fund related entities (establishment of entities, documentation, distributions, statutory and management accounts in a timely fashion). You will also project manage the quarterly report to investors for all funds. You and your team will provide management accounting support, including processing of expense payments, both reconciliations production of trial balances on a monthly basis. You will need to liaise with third parties re. External audit, tax, VAT, statutory accounts and FSA financial returns. There will be various projects such as oversight of the implementation and roll-out of the new accounting system for fund accounts.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess all of the following qualifications, skill sets and experience:
• Top 4 trained ACA qualified with up to 5 years PQE
• Strong academic background
• Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Private equity industry exposure
• A knowledge of UK Limited Partnerships
• Familiarity with investor reports and ability to address investor queries and generally deal with investors on all financial reporting matters.
