This Infrastructure focussed Principal are well known throughout global markets with an established track record in energy and transport deals. The institution is international in its investment remit and in its office locations.
The London team currently recruiting is reasonably small in size thus offering excellent opportunity to get far more actively involved in the deal process. The team is seeking to double in size by the end of 2008 in order to aggressively attack emerging market investments throughout 2009. Main investments made by the London team so far are in airports and energy. The energy projects focussed on in main are power plants and conventional energy. Investments cover Greenfield projects and acquisitions or investments in existing assets with the potential for development or expansion. The development potential of assets is often what drives investments as this is a core part of their business model.
The fund for infrastructure transactions is secured at c$3 bn giving the team excellent opportunity to actively get involved in deals at a time when deal flow is reasonably slow elsewhere. Whilst the number of deals this company looks at is reasonably high, this particular team look more at big ticket transactions rather than high turnover of deals. This is a great opportunity to join a team that is performing extremely well and has a healthy business pipeline going forward. Due to the recent success of this fund, they are now actively seeking to expand the team in line with business growth. They are looking for someone with an excellent track record in Infrastructure focussed Analysis.
There are several roles available for top tier project financiers; candidates from advisory backgrounds; equity investors and/or people with specific industry knowledge would be extremely well suited to the institution. The role will involve origination, structuring and execution dependant on the candidates’ abilities. As the team is currently quite small in size, the potential for career development is excellent. The company as a whole is extremely dynamic and encourages people from all different backgrounds and experiences to contribute ideas for future growth and investments.
