Our firm, a $5 1/2 Billion Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund is experiencing significant groth in our domestic and international business units.  Thus, we are seeking an individual to join our Accounting and Financial Reporting team who will be responsible for a variety of items including:

*Month-end close and financial statement process (including consolidation accounting)

*Coordination of annual tax and audit process; preparation of audited financial statements; income tax and K-1 review; tax projection/planning management reporting

*Budget and expense analysis/reporting.

*This individual will also interact with service providers including a full service fund administrator, work closely with the operations and technology groups to research and resolve issues and develop and implement policies, procedures and internal controls.

Qualifications:

*Candidates should have an extremely strong academic record, including a bachelor's degree in accounting

*3-5 years of public accounting experience working in the investment/asset management sector.

*Basic financial product knowledge is required and hedge fund/fund of funds experience is a plus.

*Candidates should currently hold or be in the process of obtaining the CPA credential.

*Successful candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong Excel skills.

*Experience working with different commercial accounting software packages, as well as knowledge of report writing-languages (such as SQL and Crystal) and Excel VBA experience is a plus.
