The Investment Risk Analyst will support Black River Risk Management (Investment Risk Group "IRG") efforts with respect to both private equity and longer dated credit opportunities.
Principal Accountabilities:
30% Pre-investment analysis of private equity and credit financial data.
20% Post approval financial monitoring of investment.
20% Export best practice of process across investment teams.
10% Assist the funds in preparation of Investment Committee Fund Review material.
10% Insure Fund risk reporting is conducted.
10% Perform risk concentration analysis of fund portfolio.
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance.
• At least 5 years of experience in fixed income market, preferable in credit products trading, risk management or research and analysis.
• Professional experience in a role that demands independent problem-solving skills.
• Experience with credit products and private equity analysis.
• Excellent analytical and computer skills and communication skills.
Preferred:
• MBA or CFA
• Hedge Fund, Investment Banking or Private Equity firm experience.
• Knowledge of emerging markets a plus.
• Experience in fixed income capital market or risk management preferred.
• Exposure to fixed income research, statistical analysis, security valuation, interest rate risk or credit risk a major plus.
• Independent thinking, and seek guidance when necessary but mostly self-reliance.
• Take initiative, constantly seek opportunity to add value.
