An opportunity for developing the investor relations at Zurich-based frontier emerging markets fund management firm. The individual will help cultivate and maintain relationships with the firm’s investors and play an instrumental role in developing strategy for new product launches.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Work with team to coordinate all communications between the firm and investors, including management of prospect meetings, investors due diligence requests, conferences and investors periodic reviews
• Participate and grow into playing a bigger role in interfacing with investors and prospects
• Develop a deep understanding of the fund strategy, emerging markets and ongoing performance drivers in order to update investors
• Develop a deep understanding of fund’s investment and risk management processes to communicate effectively with investors and prospects
• Coordinate with other areas of the firm to stay abreast of all operational changes and update team and due diligence documents to reflect them
• Research and develop in depth knowledge of investor universe, assessing their attractiveness based on their growth prospects, market share, investment process, investment horizon, historical performance, operations
• Analyse fund’s investor base to track and alert team on concentration and diversification
• Develop and manage the firm’s publications, presentations and due diligence documents for use with potential and existing investors
• Work with team to maintain client relationship management database of investors and related external contacts in order to track development of relationships and distribution of reports
• Track and run pro forma analysis of fund cash flows in order to alert portfolio managers of incoming and outgoing capital
• Coordinate relationship with fund administrator to ensure seamless execution of investor subscriptions and other servicing requirements
• Support senior team as required for research, analysis, benchmarking and other ad hoc projects.
Requirements
• Degree in business, finance, or accounting; MBA strongly preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years’ direct experience in an investment/asset management firm as a Fund Manager or Chief Investments Manager
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; must be comfortable interacting with investors and staff at all levels
• High attention to detail, organised, methodical
• Strong proficiency in Powerpoint, Excel, Word
• Must be creative, entrepreneurial; self-starter and able to work independently as well as closely with others
• Flexible for travel to investor meetings and events as required.
