Summary:
An exciting opportunity is available with a leading international hedge fund business in London. Managing in excess of $7bn, they are looking to increase the size of the risk management team by recruiting a risk analyst.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
-Providing regular risk reports to fund managers and management on a timely basis
-Regularly identifying and improving on weaknesses in the controls and helping to assess the availability and quality of data required for implementation of new risks within the risk models
Extensive project work, including:
-performing a variety of tests designed to flag errors and inaccuracies in the data set
-improving the implementation of risk models covering VaR, stress tests, scenario analysis, liquidity analysis and exposure analysis in order to produce more accurate and more useful risk information
-developing reporting procedures as a result of legal / reputational / regulatory / accounting developments
Key Skills Required:
-Previous Investment banking or hedge fund experience required, possibly from a control background such as market risk or product control
-The fund is largely equity focused however other business lines are increasing and skill set with other product groups will be an advantage and be used
-An undergraduate quantitative education and a relevant professional financial qualification are desired
-Advanced IT Systems skills, in particular the ability to write some VBA & SQL in Excel
